Purush: Spotlight on men on RTV Bangla

A magazine programme titled Purush, featuring men is being aired on Rtv from July 24, 2006.

Divided into several segments, the first part, titled Purbopurush featured the life style of the successful last generation. The second segment, titled Uttorpurush, focused on the lifestyle of men of this generation.

Mohapurush a programme on towering personalities was the topic of discussion in this part. A documentary on personalities such as Albert Einstein, Darwin, Tagore, Nazrul Islam, Satyajit Ray, Nelson Mandela and their ideology and philosophy was portrayed in this section.

The central point in the fifth section titled Rupkarigor, was on hairstyling, fitness, and the fashion trend for men. Birpurush, a programme based on the chivalrous men and the freedom fighters of the country, was telecast on the sixth segment. Swapnapurush featured men from the glamour world. Potential characters for the segment are Sylvester Stallone, Amitabh Bachchan, Uttam Kuman, Razzak and others.

In Shaheb Babu Biotokkhana, the most talked about contemporary personality of the country was featured in the talk show. Kapurush, dealt with men who are disturbed and need counseling. The show indicated how this can be avoided and they can be given a new lease of life. Men from mofussils who have made it to the top will be featured in a programme titled Uddomipurush.

Anchored by Mehzad Galib, the programme is telecast every Monday at 8.50pm.

Panam Nagarir Adventure: Children's play Panam Nagarir Adventure was telecast on RTV Bangla at 11:30am on the second day of Eid.

Storyline: To celebrate good results of some children in arecent exam, parents arrange a cultural programme. The young ones sing and dance at the event; some appear in different guises. Impressed by the show, one of the parents declares his intention to provide necessities for a trek during the next school vacation. Gaan Mama is to accompany them on the trip. The children set out for the adventure on time. The journey is full of suspense. At night they pitch their tents under the open sky. They sing and dance around the campfire. The play reaches its climax when they discover a treasure chest.

The play is written and directed by Khalid Mahmud Mithu.

TeleFilm: Doyita on RTV Bangla

Doyita, a tele-film directed by Naresh Bhuiyan was telecast on RTV Bangla.

The film follows three young characters -- Doyita, Rumi and Disha. Doyita and Rumi have been friends since childhood. Their parents are friends with each other as well.

Eventually Rumi realises he is in love with Doyita but before he can come clear about his feelings, Rumi’s parents let him know that they would like him to marry Disha. Raised in US, Disha is Rumi's cousin and she moves to Dhaka so that she can get to know her husband better.

Rumi tells Doyita about his feelings for her but Doyita does not feel the same way. Feeling dejected, Rumi decides to marry Disha. Once Doyita notices Rumi and Disha becoming more acquainted with each other, she realises she has feelings for Rumi as well.

Aupi Karim, Srabosti Dutta Tinni and Anisur Rahman Milan had played the lead roles in the tele-film.

Storyline: Ariful Islam Patwari, a novelist arrives at Shahebganj at the invitation of the local literary organisation (Shahittya Parisad). Patwari was born and brought up in this locality and therefore the area occupies a special place in his heart.

During his college days he was inclined towards his batch-mate Sultana Razia. Later this takes the shape of a love affair. However, in course of time Razia gets married elsewhere and Patwari moves to the city with a heavy heart.

After many years Patwari receives a call from Sultana and Patwari's excitement knows no bounds. They make plans to meet but when they finally do, Patwari feels that much has changed during the last few years. Thus the story of the TV play Premer Cheyeo Drubo moves forward.

The TV play written by Anisul Huq and directed by Ashrafi Mithu, was telecast on Pahela Baishak (Bangla New Year) on Rtv bangla at 8:50pm.
